High resolution echelle spectra of the B/e/-stars CPD-52 deg 9243 and MWC 300 have been obtained. Hundreds of emission and absorption lines were identified in the spectra of both stars. Line positions, widths and equivalent widths have been measured. Both objects are found to be B-supergiants. By means of a curve of growth analysis and a study of the line profiles, some of the properties of the circumstellar shells are determined. Fluorescence mechanisms likely to be responsible for specific emission lines in MWC 300 are discussed. It is concluded that the shells surrounding CPD-52 deg 9243 and MWC 300 are disk-like and it is proposed that this is a property characteristic of B/e/-stars.
