After the discovery of the 1.8 MeV interstellar gamma-ray line associated with the beta-disintegration of Al-26, several processes were proposed to explain the aluminum synthesis. At the present time, massive stars seem to be a greater producer of Al-26 production rate for massive stars is very sensitive to convection and mass loss rate. The contribution of massive stars with a moderate overshooting and of the ON blue stragglers, which are considered to evolve homogeneously (Maeder, 1987) is estimated.
