We present results of a program to search for variable stars in the standard star fields of the Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS). We analyze data obtained with the Photometric Telescope (PT) during 8 years of supporting SDSS operations. Approximately 80 fields were chosen for this efforts because of the long temporal data record ---back to 1999. Some of these fields have up to a few hundred observations. Limiting ourselves to just the standard star fields yields several $10^5$ stars to analyze to look for variability. These data are of interest as they go fainter than most of the amateur sky surveys and are too bright for the large aperture digital surveys (the SDSS for example).
We acknowledge the support of all the observers, past and present, who played a role in the collection of the data. Funding for the SDSS and SDSS-II has been provided by the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, the Participating Institutions, the National Science Foundation, the U.S. Department of Energy, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, the Japanese Monbukagakusho, the Max Planck Society, and the Higher Education Funding Council for England. The SDSS Web Site is http://www.sdss.org/. MB acknowledges support from the APSU Presidential Research Scholarship Program.
