We identify galaxy groups and clusters in the seventh and final data release of the Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS DR7) using the friends-of-friends algorithm described by Berlind et al. (2006). The algorithm was built to select galaxy systems that occupy the same underlying dark matter halos. We measure the group multiplicity and luminosity functions, and we use the multiplicity function to obtain constraints on the halo occupation distribution (HOD) that describes the relationship between galaxies and their dark matter halo mass.
