We present infrared spectra obtained with IRS on Spitzer of a sample of 48 galaxies at z 1 and z 2 with 24um densities between 0.15 and 0.5 mJy in the Chandra Deep Field South. These sources dominate the Cosmic Infrared Background emission in the far-infrared and consist of a sample of LIRGs and ULIRGs at z 1 and z 2, respectively. This populations contribute more than 70% of the total luminosity density at z=0.8-2.5.
A new pipeline has been developed to reduce these deep IRS data. More than 100 serendipitous sources have been observed. We use the spectra to estimate redshifts for sources with photometric redshifts only, and to disentangle the AGN/starburst contribution to the Cosmic Infrared Background.
