Three different parts are included. The first part deals with the GISS
Vidicon system in some detail, also the data reduction method is
discussed. In the second part, semiempirical model chromospheres are
proposed for the stars Capella, Pollux and Aldebaran. The third part
proposes a model to solve the interstellar elements depletion problem.
