A method of analysis is described which has been used to derive the integrated polarization of the individual components of double radio sources from interferometric observations. Where the components are very small in angular size, the polarization distribution can be considered as equivalent to two point sources. Where the components are extended, the two-point model gives an accurate estimate of the component polarizations except when the components contain interior dipole moments. A method of displaying the data is suggested that can test for the presence of such moments. The analysis is illustrated using observations of 3C 273.
