The resolutions of two systems of all-reflecting two-mirror Schmidt telescopes of the type proposed for carrying out spaceborne ultraviolet sky surveys are compared. In the centered system, the common axis of the two mirrors is normal to the apex of the corrector mirror and the corrector mirror is an aspherical surface of revolution, while in the noncentered system, the pseudo-axis of the system is the principal ray of the incident beam which converges at the center of the field and the corrector mirror is not a surface of revolution. It is found that in a noncentered system in a 1-m diameter telescope at F/2.8 with a field of 5 deg, resolution exceeds that of a centered system, leading to a luminosity gain of 8.6 and a gain of magnitude of 2.3. The same angular resolution could be obtained with a centered system at F/3.7 and linear resolution obtained at F/4.0.
