The purpose of the system of orbital computations, termed Orbit, is to
improve the accuracy of satellite orbit determinations, on the basis of
visual, photographic, and laser observations. In the present paper, the
mathematical and physical background of the first version of the Orbit
system (Orbit 1) is discussed.
