We have observed the youngest stellar population and the most X-ray binary rich region of the Small Magellanic Cloud with Chandra for 200 ksec.
The data taken with the Advanced CCD Imaging Spectrometer have revealed 16 new pulsars. We argue for the existence of 88 X-ray binaries based on a new spectral classification technique. -All in an area encompassing just a tiny fraction of the SMC.
In addition, 60\% of previously known pulsars with ephemerides were found to show appreciable accretion-driven X-ray luminosity, during the supposedly quiescent portion of their orbital phase.
Even after a decade of weekly monitoring with the Rossi X-Ray Timing Explorer, our neighbor the SMC continues to amaze.
