The mission objective of Exos A is to measure various ionospheric phenomena. This paper gives a brief overview of the following scientific payloads of the satellite: (1) UV auroral television camera, (2) atmospheric UV glow spectrophotometer, (3) electron energy spectrometer, (4) ion mass spectrometer, (5) plasma wave experiments, and (6) ionospheric plasma probes.
