International Ultraviolet Explorer observations of Mira Ceti show a wealth of emission lines, a continuum gradually increasing to long wavelengths and a number of absorption features due to Fe II, Mg II and perhaps Fe I and CO. These spectral components exhibit some variability and can be explained with a model of accretion into a disk around Mira B (a white dwarf) of material from Mira A (M6IIIe).
