Two far UV spectra of the optical counterpart of the binary X-ray source
Cyg X-2 were taken. The results are compared with the expectations of a
model where the X-rays are produced by an accreting neutron star and the
optical and UV fluxes derive from the X-ray heated atmosphere of the
primary.
