Low resolution UV spectra were taken in long and short wavelength regions covering one cycle of the star (period about one day). Large flux variations were found at wavelengths shorter than 2000 A, which vanish at longer wavelengths. High and low resolution spectra were compared to examine the possibility that 21 Com is an emission star, but results suggest that the observed flux maximum at lambda 1951 A is not due to an emission of Ca III as had been suggested.
