It is recommended that the smoothed physical surface be used as the reference surface. Series expansions by spherical harmonics are constructed for the distributions of gravity and of plumb-line deviations over this surface (in linear and quadratic approximations). The expansion coefficients are determined from the expansion coefficients of the gravitational potential and of the lunar relief. It is shown that at points of the physical surface smoothed over the eighth power the gravity varies in the range of plus or minus 1000 mgal relative to the mean value of 162,310 mgal, while the plumb-line deviations reach 7 arcmin (the expansion of the potential is limited to the 16th power).
