An equinox discrepancy caused by the coordinate transformation in the construction of the lunar and planetary ephemerides of the DE200/LE200 (1984) is discussed. It is found that the discrepancy is due to the inaccuracy of the planetary part in the adopted precession expressions. A new set of precession expressions are derived, based on the ecliptic fitted to DE 102 (Standish, 1982). Several changes for the IAU system of astronomical constants (1976) are proposed.
