An exact solution has been obtained for the one-dimensional nonlinear gas-dynamic equations in the isentropic approximation taking gravity into account. The solution is used to study the nonlinear stage of wave behavior before breaking. The dynamics of the star surface under the action of this type of wave is examined. The amplitude of the star surface displacement and of the rate of boundary variations are determined as functions of the initial disturbance parameters (wave frequency and Mach number).
