We present a short summary of the activities developed by GUAIX, the UCM Group of Instrument and Extragalactic Astrophysics. At present we are focused in the development of data reduction pipelines for three future instruments for the Spanish 10~m GTC (Gran Telescopio Canarias). The careful treatment of the random error propagation throughout the data reduction is one of the main improvements of those pipelines.
