A search has been made for OH maser emission at 1665 and 1667 MHz from a sample of strong far-infrared sources selected from the IRAS Point Source Catalog. The sources have flux densities greater than 1000 Jy at 60 and 100 μm. Observations were made using the 76-m Lovell radio telescope at Jodrell Bank and the 26-m radio telescope at Hartebeesthoek Radio Astronomy Observatory. OH spectra are presented for 17 masers discovered in the survey. Several of the new sources have little or no radio continuum emission associated with them, and may be very young objects. The infrared and radio properties of the maser and non-maser sources are compared.
