A class of solutions is presented for the equilibrium equation of toroidal configurations in terms of infinite series which in a limited number of cases can be reduced to known functions. In the linear case, the solution can be given in the form of a particular solution plus the solution of the homogeneous equation, thereby satisfying certain boundary conditions. Applications are presented for the zero- and first-order approximations.
