A method is presented for computing the cross section for the second-order process of absorption of a photon by an electron in a plasma in a homogeneous magnetic field. The computation is based on the classical free-free opacity calculations where the effect of the magnetic field is included by replacing the free electron propagator in the classical theory by the electron propagator in the homogeneous magnetic field. The results of numerical computations are presented in a graphical form.
