An analysis of the frequency dependence of the sub-pulse drift parameters P2 and P3 has been carried out for four pulsars. The frequency behavior of the P2 period in PSR 0809 + 74 and PSR 1919 + 21 may indicate that for these two objects the radiation received at frequencies above 1 GHz originates close to the neutron star surface in a non-dipolar magnetic field. The P3 period is shown to be generally frequency independent, in accord with the predictions of the polar cap models of the pulsar emission.
