We have obtained a Chandra observation the Cygnus OB2 Association as part of our ongoing studies of the X-ray emission mechanisms of early-type stars. These data were taken using ACIS-S with the High-Energy Transmission Grating in place. The resulting focal plane image contains both dispersed spectra from the diffraction gratings and direct point-like images. The four brightest stars resulted in measurable dispersed spectra; we have analyzed and published those spectra previously (ApJ 616, 542). The direct (0th order) images can be used to create low-resolution spectra using the intrinsic energy sensitivity of the detector. In this continuation of the project, our goal is to determine what can be learned from the direct images of the objects in this field. We have been able to detect roughly a dozen X-ray sources (many never previously observed in X-rays), but many of them proved difficult to analyze due to their low numbers of photon events. Nonetheless, we have proceeded to cross-identify these sources with optical catalogs and extract their low-resolution spectra.
