Decays Of K Mesons, Pi, K, And Eta Mesons

Scientific paper

Semileptonic decays of charged and neutral kaons, KL --> π+/-e-/+νe (Ke30), KL --> π+/-μ-/+νμ (Kμ30) and K+/- --> π0e+/-νe (Ke3+/-), were used to study the strangeness-changing weak interactions of hadrons. High statistics data samples of reconstructed events recorded by the NA48 experiment were analyzed to obtain the Dalitz plot densities. Investigations of all possible Lorentz-covariant couplings were performed and vector f+(q2), f0(q2), scalar fS and tensor fT contributions to the weak interaction were measured. Assuming only vector-axial couplings both the linear and quadratic terms of the momentum transferred expansion of the vector form factors were obtained. Alternatively, a fit to a pole form factor was performed.
