Titan offers outstanding appeal as a planetary exploration target. Titan is both a planet-scale prebiotic chemistry laboratory, and a physical laboratory in which new flavors of oceanography and meteorology can be explored, as well as the traditional planetary science disciplines. Future exploration should involve the extension of the Cassini mission, and a mobile airborne platform to conduct wide-ranging, but close-up, exploration of Titan's surface and lower atmosphere.
