Two hydrodynamic models of the Cepheids have been run, with a view to the presence of modal coupling near the blue edge of the Cepheid instability strip (where double-mode Cepheids are found observationally). The mass of the first model is predicted by stellar evolution theory; the second possesses reduced mass. Three modes are pulsationally unstable in the former, and two in the latter. These results are analyzed by the maximum entropy method, and component amplitudes are determined by least-squares fitting for the periods obtained.
