Developments in Asian-Pacific astronomy are reviewed, with emphasis given to: the state of the art of telescope designs at the major Asian observatories; high-energy observations of solar processes; and solar-stellar phenomena. Consideration is also given to: spectral measurements of binary and variable stars; the connection between compact stellar structures and galactic structure; and galactic structure properties and cosmology. Issues related to QSO spectra and cosmological theory are also discussed.
