The observations of the RR Lyrae star RR Cet in Geneva photometry and radial velocity with CORAVEL are analysed. Three different versions of the Baade-Wesselink method are applied to derive the mean radius. Validity of the method is discussed. It is shown that the interval of phase corresponding to the rising light (minimum radius) must be excluded because at this phase, the colour index [B-V] is not uniquely related to the effective temperature. The physical parameters of RR Cet are determined, in particular R0 = 6.7±0.2 R_sun; and Mv = 0.28±0.14. The distance from the sun is 760±40 pc. The total uncertainties on these quantities are roughly twice as large as the values given here which result only from the mathematical analysis.
