The color-magnitude diagram of the far globular cluster AM-1 has been obtained from three CCD images collected by the ESO. The images were acquired in the B and V regions to the limiting magnitude of 23 mag. Assuming a magnitude of 0.6 for RR Lyrae stars, the derived distances for AM-1 is 120 kpc. The HB of the cluster is red and heavily populated. An approximate metal abundance of Me/H = -1.6 (+ or - 0.3) was obtained from the dereddened color index. The HR diagram of the cluster revealed evidence of 'the second parameter' effect where the diameter of the cluster is unusually large (186 pg) in comparison with that of the inner halo clusters. The mass of the cluster is roughly estimated to be 140,000 solar mass, and a perigalactic distance of about 40 kpc has been obtained. A sample CCD image of the cluster is provided.
