Recent laser observations are used together with the tidal evolution theory describing the earth-moon system to refine several dynamic parameters of the system. Particular attention is given to the theoretical relationship between the tidal deceleration of the moon and the earth's rotation and the tidal decrease in the angular velocity of the earth's rotation generated separately by the moon and sun. The total secular decrease in the angular velocity of the earth's rotation is also considered.
