The joint meeting between the Royal Astronomical Society and the BAA at the Open University in Milton Keynes on May 10 was a great success and well attended. The theme of comets, meteors and meteorites ensured a wide selection of talks from both professional and amateur astronomers and I am grateful to all those who contributed and to Margaret Penston and Jonathan Shanklin, the organisers.
