Using the fundamental data of well studied Wolf-Rayet stars, relations are obtained between the mass loss rates and the terminal velocities and the fundamental stellar parameters. The author finds no correlation between the mass loss rate and the luminosity, but instead he finds a clear correlation with the radius: M= 3.34×10-6(R/R_sun;)1.18M_sun;/yr. A very good correlation is found between the terminal velocity and the mass of WR stars: v = 602.6 (M/M_sun;)0.616km s-1. Both relations are independent of the subtype. The author discusses the corrections to the stellar radius, due to the presence of stellar wind and the relation between the mass and the mass loss rate, found by Abbott et al. (1986).
