Spectroscopic observations of the newly discovered C2 band white dwarf, PG 0913+104 are described. A model atmosphere fit to this object's spectrum indicates that it has Teff = 9000±500K and a carbon abundance by number relative to helium of ɛC = (2±1)×10-5, assuming log g = 8 and that the hydrogen abundance is ɛH ≤ 10-4, as determined from the absence of observable Balmer lines. It appears that these atmospheric parameters can be accounted for employing currently available ideas on how traces of carbon can be dredged up by the helium convection zone from the "tail" of the carbon equilibrium abundance profile.
