The orbital parameters of the Nimbus 1 rocket (1964-52B) have been determined for 285 epochs using 14,500 radar and optical observations during the rocket's last 2233 days in orbit. The rocket was injected into an inclined orbit at an angle of 98.7 degrees to the equator. Decay of the orbit of Nimbus Rocket took place on Aug. 13, 1974. The orbital elements were computed using the PROP 6 orbit refinement program of the Royal Aircraft Establishment. The average accuracies of the computations were 110 m for perigee height and 0.002 degrees for inclination, respectively. The orbital elements for each epoch are listed in a table. An analysis of the variations of orbital eccentricity is given in a companion paper.
