Interferometric measurements of 12CO and 13CO (J = 1→0) emission toward T Tau reveal two concentrations of molecular gas offset by several arcseconds from the star. The concentrations could represent material bound in Keplerian orbits lying nearly in the plane of the sky around T Tau and/or its infrared companion. Representative masses for these clumps are ≡10-3M_sun;. In this binary system, the bulk of the gaseous material seems to be in a distant orbit around the close (100 AU) binary pair. There is no evidence for a dense concentration of gas at the stellar positions themselves.
