This paper presents the result of UBV photoelectric photometry of the 1976 - 1978 eclipse of VV Cephei. The contact times are determined on the base of B-V and U-B curves. The epoch of the mid-eclipse is JD 2443361 which agrees with the predicted one. The unequal depths of falling and rising branches of the colour curves can be explained by a gas stream from the M-type supergiant component. The radius of the M-type supergiant is about 1860 R_sun; with atmospheric tickness of 450 R_sun;.
