Consideration is given to interplanetary spheromaks, i.e., spheroidal magnetoplasma configurations with poloidal and toroidal fields. The solution of the Helmholtz equation is used to represent force-free magnetic fields by series of spheroidal wave functions. It is assumed that these functions primarily describe interplanetary MHD clouds in the form of oblate and elongated ellipsoids formed in the interaction of flare ejections with the coronal and interplanetary plasma. A simple theoretical example is presented and compared with ISEE-2 data.
