Present knowledge of Magellanic Cloud (MC) Cepheids is reviewed, emphasizing the physical and chemical properties of these Cepheids and their usefulness as distance indicators. Chemical abundances in extragalactic Cepheids are summarized, and the significance of accurate interstellar reddenings for MC Cepheids is discussed. The use of the P-L-C relation of the MC Cepheids to study the structure of the MCs is discussed. The period-color relation of the MC Cepheids are reviewed and compared with that of Galactic Cepheids. The radii and surface brightnesses of MC Cepheids are briefly considered, and infrared work on these stars is summarized. Finally, the zero point of the P-L-C relation for these Cepheids is addressed.
