X-Ray, Gamma Ray, Request For Observations, Transients

We report the discovery of a new transient source, IGR J16479-4514, with the IBIS/ISGRI detector onboard the INTEGRAL observatory. The source position is RA=16h47.9m, and DEC= -45d 14' (equinox 2000, position uncertainty around 3'). The source was detected during observations of the Galactic Center field performed between August 8 and August 9, with fluxes ~12 mCrab in the 18-25 keV band (signal to noise ratio S/N ~9) and ~8 mCrab in the 25-50 keV band (S/N ~10).
