OB associations and young star clusters are "fossils" of star formation and early stellar evolution. They are also the best sites to determine the initial mass function (IMF). Developments on studies of the formation and early evolution of these very young stellar systems are reviewed. The determination and study of IMF are discussed. Two related problems, i.e., runaway OB stars and blue stragglers, are briefly described.
