Numerical models of stationary bow shocks produced by cool stellar winds flowing past dense cloudlets are presented. A velocity range representative of Herbig-Haro objects (25-400 km s-1) is explored, and the winds are highly supersonic (Mach number> 50). In agreement with the bow shock theory shapes, dimensions and density distributions of all adiabatic models are identical. However, when allowances for cooling are made, they become very sensitive to the cooling efficiency which peaks in the 200 km s -1 model. Maps of the emission integrated over all frequencies are obtained and the efficiency of the emission is calculated. The results are discussed in relation to Herbig-Haro objects.
