The perturbations of the orbital elements of a charged artificial earth
satellite caused by the earth's magnetic field are studied. A rough
estimate of the size of the disturbing effects gives them a very small
value. A detailed computation is made in the case of the changes of the
inclination of the satellite's orbit.
