The astrophysical rp-process is thought to be responsible for the
production of proton rich nuclides up to A ˜100. The role of the N
˜Z nuclei near A=80 in the nucleosynthetic process will be
discussed. Emphasis will be placed on the ^80Zr beta decay half-life and
isomers in ^80Y.
