Recent observations of magnetars revealed a clear correlation between flux changes, spectral hardness variability, occurrence of glitches and bursting activity. It has been proposed that magnetospheric twists could be responsible for these peculiar variabilities and for their correlation. A detailed study of this correlation is needed in order to better constrain the model, to infer information on these magnetospheric twists and in order to be able to predict their occurrence. These twists are also thought to be responsible for Giant Flares, the prediction of which is of paramount importance not only for astronomical purposes but also for Earth orieted studies, given the large impact that these events have on our atmosphere and telecommunications.
