High resolution radio continuum observations of Messier 31 at 1412 MHz; multicolor photographic surface photometry of the Andromeda galaxy; radio continuum emission from the nuclear region of M31: evidence for a nuclear radio spiral; an optical study of stars and dust in the Andromeda galaxy; infrared emission from interstellar dust in the Andromeda galaxy; and a comparison of the Andromeda galaxy and the Milky Way are discussed.
