DDO photometry is presented for a small sample of red giants in the globular clusters NGC 6171 and NGC 6723. From the location of their giants in the C0(45-48), C0(42-45) diagram, their metallicities are found to be close to (M/H) = 1.1, a result which agrees well with high-dispersion spectroscopic abundance analyses. The similarity of their metallicities, despite their quite different horizontal-branch morphologies, suggests that NGC 6171 and NGC 6723 may provide an inner halo example of the 'second parameter' phenomenon. Several giants with possible 4215 A CN-band enhancements are identified.
