Stars: White Dwarfs, Oscillations, Evolution, Individual: Pg 1159-035

We measured the secular variation of the 516 s period of the pre-white
dwarf PG 1159-035 with new data and a method which measures the change
of the period directly, obtaining a positive value: (+13.0+/-2.6)times
10(-11) s/s. This new value agrees in sign with the theoretical
predictions, but is an order of magnitude larger.
