The results of analyses of 17 photometric photographic plates of the central star of the planetary nebula NGC 2818 are reported. The plates were exposed in 1977-78 with the 3.6 m telescope at ESO-La Silla. The V luminosity was 18.5 mag, the B-V luminosity 0.1 mag, and the U-B luminosity was -1.22 mag. The object was determined to be at a medium point in the evolution of a planetary nucleus. Whether or not the nebula is in fact collocated in the open cluster NGC 2818 could not be confirmed.
