The kinematics of the sample of 927 A stars has been investigated statistically. Their motion was approximated by means of the two velocity ellipsoids, which the authors used in the selection of 101 members of the Sirius Supercluster. Analysis of the photometric data from the Strömgren and Geneva systems shows that the sample is homogeneous with respect to its chemical composition, but it was difficult to give the value of [Fe/H] because of problems with the calibration of δm1 and Δm2. Comparison with stellar evolutionary models with the solar chemical composition (Y = 0.28, Z = 0.02) yielded the age 4.9±1.3×108yr. The authors can conclude from their data that the Sirius Supercluster was formed in the Carina spiral arm of our Galaxy.
