The properties of the iterative reconstruction technique incorporated with a non-negativity constraint on the power spectrum (or brightness distribution) are studied by simulation experiments. The non-negativity is examined around the zero level in the distribution and an improvement is noted where the steep variations begin from the zero level. Consequently, this method is sensitive to the dc component of the autocorrelation function and measurement noises. The method is more effective in the case when the distribution consists of isolated point-like sources.
